'Days of Shaveless Fable' is a spoken word collection from Rory Jones. Here he is to talk about it:
Hello, welcome to DOSF and thanks for coming, nice outfit. Here lies an assortment of pieces I've written and performed over the last two years, lovingly home-recorded for that extra pinch of bohemian authenticity (keeping it real, classic Jones.)
Here you can listen and download for free, or, if you're feeling particularly generous, donate the suggested £4.00* for the album. If you do you'll also receive a Christmassy bonus track, not to mention a conscience free from your thievery, what a bloody bargain. Just think, your four little pounds could fund a fourth solar-powered toy for my windowsill collection, a very good cause.
Thanks for taking the time to visit, you're a sweet potato indeed.
*"Or however much you think it's worth." (This classic line always gets them) - Quite seriously, you don't have to pay anything.
As writer, narrator, graphic designer, recording engineer, producer, social media co-ordinator and professional heart-throb, it would be deeply wrong of me not to thank myself for my stellar efforts on this project. I'm a force of nature, what can I say. But since I'm here I may as well thank everyone else who has supported me over the last two years; the welcoming kindness and encouragement of the Belfast poetry and comedy scene, my family and friends, those who gave me productive -and often necessary- criticism and in particular my girlfriend Claire, who has had to put up with these poems and their author more than any mortal should rightfully have to. Thank you all.
